Synopsis
Slaved away taking care of her sick mother, a recluse woman frees herself after the arrival of a wounded dog that appears in her place and requires all her attention.

In the unexpected newscast of the day, nothing sounds particularly promising. The winds of misfortune stir the foul-smelling air, while Dolores survives in the care of her sick and deranged mother. No one controls her impulse at that tropical beach whose inhabitants seem to have escaped from a García Márquez short story. But one day, an accordion breaks out, a happy song is heard, someone gets married. And an unseen body calls for the desire of Dolores' fat body. And a wounded dog, hungry for affection and care, suddenly appears in the kitchen of her house. Dolores holds on to the dog, becomes animalized, melts into it. Everything will mix in that corner of the world where humans and beasts eat from the same plate and sleep in the same bed. (Lilian Laura Ivachow)

A Dominican-American filmmaker. In 2020, he received his MFA in Screenwriting and Directing from Columbia University. His shorts have been shown at Rotterdam, New Orleans, Max Ophüls Preis and Guadalajara.
